Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device, which makes this tool safe for private photos and documents.
How much can an image be compressed?
Typical photos shrink by 60–90% at quality 75 with no visible difference. PNG screenshots often compress even further when converted to WebP or JPG.
Is there a file size or quantity limit?
There is no hard limit. Because processing is local, the practical limit is your device memory — batches of dozens of photos work fine on a normal laptop or phone.
Does compression reduce image resolution?
By default the pixel dimensions stay the same and only the encoding quality changes. You can optionally set a maximum width/height to downscale large photos for extra savings.
